Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Experience an exceptional boat cruise along the serene Kazinga Channel, where the natural elegance of the landscape unfolds around you. Glide past large pods of hippos relaxing in the water and watch crocodiles basking motionlessly along the banks. You’ll also encounter buffaloes and waterbucks cooling
off at the water’s edge, adding to the richness of the scene.

One of the true highlights of the Kazinga Channel boat cruise experience is the guaranteed sight of majestic elephant herds making their way to the channel to drink, cool down, and interact at theshoreline—an unforgettable  display of wildlife in its purest form.

The Kazinga Channel is equally captivating for bird lovers, offering a world class birding experience with an extraordinary range of water birds. Keep an eye out for Pelicans, African Fish Eagles, Kingfishers, Cormorants, and the striking Saddle billed Stork.

Game drives in the Kasenyi Plains

IHAMBA EXPERIENCE

Venture into the heart of Kasenyi, where the golden savannah stretches endlessly and life unfolds in the wildest, most breathtaking ways. Here, hundreds of elegant Uganda kobs graze peacefully across the open plains—this is the famed “Kobs Mating Ground,” where nature performs its timeless rituals right before your eyes. As you journey through the landscape, you may spot the commanding figure of a
dominant male kob guarding his harem, while just beyond the horizon, the silent tension of a lion on the hunt adds an exhilarating pulse to the air.

Buffalo herds thunder across the grasslands, giant forest hogs shuffle between the acacias, warthogs scamper past with comical charm, and monitor lizards bask in the sun. And as luck would have it, a lone elephant may appear—quiet, majestic, and unforgettable.

Wildlife viewing at Mweya Peninsula

RELAX & RECOVER

Begin your adventure on the Mweya Peninsula, where forested tracks and hidden animal trails lead you into one of the park’s most vibrant wildlife zones. Here, you might glimpse the elusive leopard slipping through the shadows or watch elephant herds emerging from the trees. Waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas, and the rare giant forest hog often appear along the route.

As you near the Kazinga Channel, you may even find a hippo grazing quietly among the bushes at dawn or dusk. Above and around you, striking birds—from the Black Bee-eater to the Verreaux’s Eagle-Owl and Malachite Kingfisher—bring the peninsula to life. Every turn invites a new moment of wonder, making Mweya an unforgettable highlight of your safari journey.
